Why Do I Want My Teacher To Criticise Me?

#UnblockYourPeople

The People Formula - Why Do I Want My Teacher To Criticise Me?

Let's get this clear; I don't like being criticised anymore than you do.

It's not fun being told you are doing something wrong or could do better.

But, why then do I seek out the criticism?

On the surface, the answer seems obvious.

If I follow what my Tango teacher says, I will get better.

However, if you understand the People Formula, you will see something powerful at play hidden below the surface.

The reason why I don't like to be criticised, and why I seek it out

is THE SAME.

Self Worth

The biggest motivator of them all is our desire to feel good about ourselves.

We want to hit our goals and feel proud of ourselves.

But, the fear of losing our self-worth is a powerful negative motivator.

MOST PEOPLE WILL FOCUS AND ACT ON PRESERVING THEIR SELF-WORTH

MORE THAN THEY WILL ON BUILDING IT.

This is why so many have dreams but won't act on them.

Many people plateau in their results because they don't want to risk the results they have at the moment and the feeling of self-worth they have from achieving these results.

My Tango teacher can help me, but only if I let them.
