This comment came from a friend while talking about how bad their new boss is.
Unfortunately, we don't live in a meritocracy where the most knowledgeable person always gets the job.
I asked, "who was better at selling themselves?"
Just like companies, some people are better at positioning and selling themselves than others.
BEING TALENTED AND EXPERIENCED IS NOT ENOUGH
This may be tough to hear, but we all know its true.

BE GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO
BE GREAT AT SHOWING OTHERS HOW GOOD YOU ARE.
To get that promotion or make the jump to the next level of business you have to:
1. Position yourself
One of the most common things I help my Alpha clients with is positioning them TO BE SEEN to be ready for the next step.
Talent needs to be seen to be recognised.
2. Sell yourself
Many talented people fail to achieve what they could because they are reluctant or don't know how to sell themselves.
If you hide your light under a bushel, then your ideas, talent and even your results won't get seen.
